Hey, im looking for a good, reccomended herp vet preferably in the southern nj area. I found a list of them, but it hasnt been updated in a couple years, and theres no reveiws so im just wondering if anyone reccomends a certain one. My girl has had something going on with her eye that noone seems to have any idea about, so i would like to make sure, before shelling out a decent amount on a vet visit, that they know about beardies and can hopefully give me an answer about her eye, do a full exam and fecal. I know this is a far shot, but maybe someoneeee is in my area :/

I'm in Bucks County PA... and supposedly there is a good exotic vet where I take my dogs to at Ark Animal Hospital in Chalfont, PA... not sure if it's too far for you, but if you can't find anyone... atleast here is a possiblity

Not sure where you're at in southern NJ, but I used Ocean County Veterinary Hospital in Lakewood. Dr. Warren Briggs was Pookie's vet until my dog vet in Middletown hired a herp specialist.
Dr. Briggs is very thorough and knowledgeable and just adored Pookie.

Oh now thats perfect! Lakewood is only about 40-45 min from me. Do you still happen to have any information on them like address or phone number? If not im sure i can look it up by his name. Thanks :)

Do you remember what the general appt price was? Ive been calling around and just cant believe the difference in prices some places charge. I thought maybe going by price would be a factor of how good they are, but i see that is not the case at all. Ive gotten ranges from 40 all the way up to 125 just to walk through the door and anywhere from 20-75 for a fecal. I can already see this is going to be pretty penny, but my girls worth it :)

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
