Good amount of Hornworms to feed

I've noticed that when I get Simon some hornworms his poo bombs the house like someone set off a nuke! He gets massive diarrhea. How many can I feed him so his poo isn't so severe? I usually feed him 3-4 1" sized and these are his FAVORITE treat! How many can I feed him without killing everyone and everything in my apartment when he goes poo?

Also-- I can store the hornworms in a mini-fridge right? They are growing soooo fast I can't feed them to him fast enough....

Do you mean he poos a lot of that it smells? If it smells, he might have parasites and you should get a fecal done. 3-4 doesn't seem like too much too me, but I feed my girl, Zy, about 10 a day. Her poops are really stinky, but I'm pretty sure she has parasites. She's also an opportunistic feeder so will gorge herself even if she is full so 3-4 could even be a better number.

The last time I had his poo looked at it came back pretty boring and full of nothing but poo. It happened after I started to give him hornworms again. I couldn't afford to buy them for a month and he's had pretty solid, ordinary smelling poo, but after I started giving him hornworms again all hell broke loose in his bowls.

Hornworms are a lot of moisture so they poop out a lot of moisture as well which is why it looks so weird.

Maybe I'll just only give him one once a day. I think they are too much for him right now. Can I put them in the fridge at a higher temp? They are going to grow too fast before he can eat them all... I need to stunt their growth or at least slow it down some...

Yup, the fridge will stunt their growth. One horn should be good along with some other feeders.
