Glass surfing

My beardie has been glass surfing a lot recently, she is in a 40 gallon tank, she only surfs on the front view side, i figured its because she wants to get out and roam for a while so ill take her out and let her chill with me, but she'll just run back to her cage and surf on the OUTSIDE of the glass as if she wants to go back in?? Very confused. I put books around the glass incase she sees her reflection, but she climbs her basking tree & continues to jump into the glass.

It's odd that she climbs the outside of the glass to get in. I wonder if it would help to provide something for her to watch while she's out. If you have a way to get her near a window sill, try giving her time to look outside. I put a dog bed next to the window sill in my living room and my dragon can spend quite a lot of time just watching the goings on outside.

That is odd, surfing on the outside of the glass. Though, if they can see a reflection, they still may surf. Perhaps she's not trying to get back in, and just surfing on her reflection? (I know, that sounds ridiculous to anyone who doesn't know dragons..)

She could be surfing inside for all the normal reasons aside from reflection, ie. temps, hungry, want to roam, etc in addition to the glass, but maybe it's just her reflection from inside and outside.

My girl is in a 55gal, temps are spot on, UVB, humidity, food, etc....she still does not like the dragon in the glass. She'll calm down once I take her out, but since my tank isn't on a table, she can't really stand against the front of it, facing in.

Did she recently just start doing this?

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
