I am a first time mommy to a baby bearded dragon name Gizmo. He/she is only a few weeks old from I am told. I wanted a nice family pet and we've been debating about a dragon for a year or so. Finally after doing research we decided it was time. I tell everyone that he picked us. Most of the dragons was skittish or opened their mouth in defense, he just looked at us tilting his head from side to side then allowed us to pick him up. We knew he was the one. The lil guy is fast on his feet and is enjoying his new home. Though I am setting up a 55 gallon tank as soon as I get my online order in for the supplies that he needs for the tank. He is now in a 20 gallon long. My only question is I have a 75 watt basking bulb in there and even though it only reads about 91 should I be concered? I'm afraid being a small tank that if I went to 100 watt I'd kill him for sure. I saw him basking earlir but now is hanging out on the cooler side under the uvb light.
I haven't seen him dink much but I've mist him. He ate some crickets and a few bites of romaine lettuce. I just got yesterday so I'm very new at this.
He has already captured our hearts.

mine is about 6 inches as well. his phoenix worms came in today and he ate about 12 of em
