getting worried...

Sorry, me again!
Got Gaspar on christmas eve and he still doesent seem that hungry. He tends to have a munch on his salad and will eat 1-2 hoppers a day but thats pretty much it. I know that they can be tempramental re food so am trying not to stress but its hard! Not sure how to tell whether he is getting thin?
He also seems to like being in his cave which is in the cool end. Tends to lie with his legs flat (like sunbathing but without the lamp!) and chin rested on the floor. Is this normal behavior or should I be worried with the two combined? sorry prob really dull questions for you all but want a happy dragon!

he is still settling in so be patient.
Can you give us some info on your enclosure?
be sure to have his basking temp at 110. Uvb should be 7-10 inches from your dragon so he can get the benefits. Get a reptisun10 or arcadia 12 tube.
Feed him small crickets.

ta! Checked enclosure on other thread and seems ok...will change grubs as think the crickets I got were too big maybe...

Do you know how old he is? Or, just his length sometimes helps figure that out, too. If he's really young, I wouldn't recommend a hide at all. He's still adjusting, but this can be a serious problem if he is not getting enough heat and UVB rays. I'd also suggest giving us a few specifics on his set-up, UVB, how temps are measured, if you are dusting with calcium and vitamins, and if so, which brand(s), like Grogshla asked. It's a lot easier to help if we know the details...and every beardie is different, so sometimes what works for the majority, doesn't work for some.
And, depending on his age, those 2 things could be worrisome, especially together.
We're here to help (and I am no expert by any means, just want to help if I can, if I can't, I try to find someone who can).
Hope he starts eating and becoming more active soon
