Hi first of all, all my temps are fine lights are all good nothing has changed in the viv and the viv hasn't moved etc he is over a year old now and is only 18 inches long weighs 465 grams, my bd will hardley move all day he never eats his veggies anymore he used to whilst i was at work now he will only eat the locusts morio worms i feed him when i get home but no veggies anyway when he is in is tank he will hardly move around he always used to run around and be fully active now he will hardley do anything even when i take him out all he will do is find somewhere close and dig (sort of in the carpet lol) and start to fall asleep when he goes back to his viv same thing dig and sleep i know its not brumation as he came out of that in February he is right next to a window and he will stare at it all day and move really slowly around the viv looking at the window like a bird will attack him so even out of his viv same thing no moving and stare's at the window so when i put the blind down to help he will just find somewhere and sleep like its night time even though all lights are on and its early, he really isn't active anymore he won't even move to his basking spot in the morning unless i put him there he will just stare at the window and not move but then i try and help him by putting the blind down and like i said he will just dig and sleep what can i do to make him more active and get over his fear of the window???? its starting to really worry me as i don't want him to get so lazy unfit and unhealthy from it. can someone please help any help will be very appreciated
Thanks

Just to double check what exactly are your temps and how are you measuring them? What kind of uvb are you using and how old is it? Please add any other specifics about your set up that may us diagnose issues?

Hi thanks for your reply, I'm using a hand held thermometer its called TN1 non contact thermometer and i have a digital thermo controller that's called thermo control pro II that controls the heat of the basking bulb (which is 75W) up to 105F then cools down to 95F then turns the basking light back on and up to 105F then back off etc and it also switches all the lights on and off on a timer at night and in the morning 7am till 9pm, the difference between the two measuring the heat is 1 or 2F so i know there is no difference really between the two so i know he is getting the right temps plus if he bask's when i put him there he stays till his mouth opens then after a while moves away from it. the uvb is a 12% arcadia bulb 30 inches long with a reflector, the bulb must be 5 months old if that but i bought another one today to replace it which i'll put in in a bit. but all the setup with the heating controllers and thermo stats etc have all been the same since i got him last year. i got him 6 months old and have had him a year now so he is only 1 year and 6 months. and weights 465 grams and is only 18 inches long.
Thanks

Okay well all that seems okay. Is he pooping regularly? What are u feeding him? Using supplements? Have u ever had a fecal exam? Sorry for so many questions but just trying to narrow down a solution?

that's fine I'm really thankful for you talking to me about it :), no he isn't pooping regularly it is either every 3 or 4 days sometimes 2 days he gets baths regularly to keep him hydrated, i feed him locusts and morio worms and veggies which are dandelion leaves and dandelion flowers with butternut squash i haven't had a fecal exam done before no where near me that do reptiles unfortunately.

Yea mine poops at about the same. Well im really not sure what the problem can be. Hopefully someone more experienced can help you out. I have only had my guy for about 6 months but i have done a ton of research. There seems to be no signs of impaction, lighting and heating sounds good as well. Hopefully your little guy starts acting normal for you again.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
