I'm getting very excited and I wanted to share my excitement with you all!
Last night we bought a bunch of supplies that will be used for my Beardie tank. I have the $8 Walmart fixture for the Reptisun that I haven't ordered yet. We picked up a Flukers dome last night because Home Depot, Sears Hardware and Walmart didn't have a dome light with a ceramic fixture that wasn't a huge 10.5"dome. I bought a 75watt halogen flood bulb. It's going to go with a 75gallon so I thought it best to try that out. Testing it out on the counter last night it warmed up to 120 degrees at only a foot away so I hope with the right placement I can get a good basking temp. Not sure yet if we'll need another bulb for the cool side yet. Unfortunately, the tank is still sitting in the back of the garage. :| I also bought a roll of non-adhesive shelf liner at Walmart too. At Home Depot my hubby picked up the giant pack of Styrofoam to start making a rock platform. Oh, and we picked up another Acurite digital thermometer too.
I was very happy though. We are starting to get things set up for a new addition! Hurray!! My hubby did want me to ask what kind of glue did you all use to hold the styrofoam together? I'm going to look it up on the tutorials too but sometimes different people find that different things work better. So, opinions? Thanks!
