getting dubia's, need some advice on something I bought

Hi everyone,

I bought these zilla cricket water pillows

I was wondering if this was a bad idea to get them or not? I have never used them before but I have a gift card to petco and I thought it would be good to get that and avoid having to buy some water crystals for some time... or are water crystals better?

I was also wondering something today... I bought some dog food and I finely grinded it and I mix it with some grinded oatmeal also! but I haven't noticed a difference in the amount of food that is in the food bin thingy. has this happened to anyone? can anyone tell me what they did about it? or can anyone tell me what I can do about this or if it is nothing to worry about because they dont really eat a lot?

something that I was curious about was that I have protein powder and maybe I can also mix that up with the food! or is human protein powder not acceptable for them?
Any help is gladly appreciated!

I will definitely try that! I think it's cheaper as I went to the flea market and they have fish flakes and its 1/2 pound of fish flakes for $1!!!

If you have a small colony, you won't notice them eating for awhile. When you have thousands, the food disappears quickly. I go through a half a pound to a pound of food per roach bin every 1-2 days. Give them time to multiply, you should notice. As far as protein powder, never tried it.
