Getting beardy to drink

how can i get my baby beardy to drink from her water bowl herself? when i get home i know she hasnt drinken i end up having to wet my finger and letting it drip and she licks it.. but i wanther to use her bowl and she doesnt seem interested at all. any advice??

Most beardies won't drink from a water bowl.. Very few will.. You can give them a bath in warm water up to their chest.. And they also get hydration from their greens

That is exactly what my vet said. She recommended the bath every few days, just an inch or two of water.

and what if she doesnt eat her greens really? are they smart enough to not let themselves dehydrate?

Baby beardies can dehydrate easily, you should have a spray bottle to gently spray water on the tip of his nose, he will drink as it runs down to his lips, or use an eyedropper.

since babies dont like to eat their greens alot make sure the feeders are always well hydrated with those water cubes or fresh greens or something, the feeders themselves should supply most of the water your little guy needs

You run the serious risk of a baby becoming dehydrated / impacted if left to only get their hydration through their feeders.That's one of the reasons that so many people have problems with impaction. Adults can stand that a little better, but not babies. I've raised 1000's, and it's a real gamble to not give them water by spraying or using an eyedropper.
My babies all eat their greens by one month old [ and sooner] by using the drop the greens in the cage method. If you drop the small pieces in, they run to them just like they do the crickets. Works very well.
