Getting beardie(s) soon. Few qestions.

Hey all. Im going to be getting my very first beardie(s) this spring. In the meantime, my fiancee and I are doing as much research as we can so we're well informed, and can provide well for our new addition(s). We're not newbies to the herp world. We have a blue tongue skink, a red tail boa, a ball python and 7 baby corn snakes. But a bearded dragon is new territory for us.
I guess my questions would be:
Would a beardie benefit having a companion? If so, should it be two females? Or can I keep a male and female together? (Breeding is something we'd be interested in after we're established with owning and taking good care of them)
Secondly,(not so much a question) were going to be building a vivarium for them, so if anyone has any good ideas, id love to hear/see them! We have a fairly small apartment. We were thinking a coffee table vivarium. thanks for any input!!

Hey there - make sure you do a LOT of research on this site (it's the best source of info, period) before getting one. You should NEVER keep more than one in the same tank. They are not social animals, and prefer to be alone. Two together, even the same sex, can cause serious damage, or even kill just with stress alone. And a male can literally kill a female by stressing her to mate all the time.

I would also do a lot of research before you try to breed. One mating session can lead to 60 or more babies, which is a LOT of mouths to feed, not to mention space, lighting, and just sheer time.
