Dregan is now 9mo and when he was at the vet he wasn't quite six months old. The vet said he was "pretty sure" on a boy. Here's a pic. I'm really hoping Dregan remains a boy since I'm not looking forward to lay boxes and unfertilized eggs if he becomes a she.

Btw, he doesn't normally have the leopard stress spots. I guess it was the indignity of having his tail lifted and photographed, lol.

Yikes! Lol, any others? *crosses fingers* I don't really want to change his name to "Liz" which is what the kids want if he becomes a she. :)

It might still be a bit early to tell? Some males mature slowly, but.. well sixs months i think he would be showing. I'd say female.. but not positive.

Can you take another pic? Like, moreso of the first couple inches of the base of his/her tail. Not so much the vent.

Bring his/ her tail forward just a little farther (without hurting him, of course), and kind of take the pic at an angle.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
