I'm starting to take an interest in leopard geckos and would love to see them get such an elaborate, caring community as BDs currently have. Located in the header to this site is a link to "GeckoTopics.com". Unfortunately, it has a very poor, unappealing layout and seems to be suffering from major inactivity.
Any thoughts on this? The least this post will do is give it some publicity.

Oh, it seems that in my weeks spent here, it never crossed me my mind to scroll down all the way.

I think he meant he's never seen the gecko section of the forum.

in answer to the OP's question. I really haven't either. I've seen a few different forums, but the main posters are breeders trying to sell their color morphs. Luckily, they're a much easier pet to deal with than Beardies. I'd certainly recommend them as an alternative "first reptile" over pretty much any other. If you've got beardies, Leos should be NO problem lol. No UVB needs, smaller, can be more safely housed in small groups, etc etc. A few hides and the proper belly temps and you're set! Plus, they'll eat anything that moves lol

Yes, by "scroll down all the way", I meant I had never come across the "other reptiles" section. Thanks for the info, JCM. I guess I'll continue to gather little bits of info here and there, and see how things turn out.

OH! I get it. Sorry.

So, your getting interested into geckos? Leopards right? I have 3 and they are a very rewarding, easy pet. Great beginner reptile, inexpensive and none space consuming. I highly recommend them!!

I have 5 now. All either rescues or adoptions that were parasite filled !

I have nothing bad to say about them ! They come in lovely colors, and are quite durable little creatures !

Of course, they aren't dragons ;)

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
