Garlic and calcium

My pet store sells a garlic spray for reptiles saying it helps fussy eaters to eat. Anyone know anything about that? My next question is that my dragon will eat crickets not dusted and ignore the ones with calcium on them I tried switching powder twice and still the same. What do I do about this?

im not really sure about the garlic but my dragons completely opposite, he loves the calc. powder. he'll actually go around his viv and lick it off the ground/branches if some falls off a cricket. i'd say dont offer any un-dusted crickets till he gives in and eats the powdered ones. it might take a day or two but he'll come around.

I've heard of all sorts of appetite stimulant sprays. The truth is that a lot of reptile companies make products that don't work and can actually harm a lizard. I don't use any sprays, supplements, or anything like that unless it has been reccommended by a certified exotics vet or by multiple people on a forum or message board. There are way too many products out there that do more harm than good.

As for the calcium, what brand are you using? You might try dusting different kinds of feeders; i.e. crickets one day, worms the next. Switch it around so your dragon doesn't know what to expect. You could try dusting the salad too.
