Garden weeds?

So... As I was wrong my garden today in order to make room for the seeds that I'm planting for a dragon for source, I had an epiphany.

Can beardies eat that stuff? I know dandelions are ok, so that's good... But what about quack grass? Apple tree leaves?

Can anybody point me in the direction of the most complete list of safe food please?

I don't know where you live, but I wouldn't trust any outdoor plants here due to pollution, possible pesticide contamination, etc. YMMV.

Yikes... No gardens where you're from?

We live in a basement apartment in a major metropolitan area. There are gardens but they come with many cars that drive by and many neighbours who like green lawns and will use any chemicals to see the that way.

I will say that down the street from where we live, one of our street neighbours has a massive, very well kept and beautiful garden. You could probably build a house on the area his garden takes up. It's amazing.

I think they wouldn't eat apple tree leaves. They are safe, but they are quite hard and they won't get to great lengths eating hard leaves. They aren't real herbivores. Maybe up to a hardness of a grape or hibiscus leaf, not anything harder than that. Generally the same broadleaf weeds which are safe for tortoises, iguanas and rabbits are safe for bearded dragons as well.

White clover is good + my beardies enjoy it. Not just the clover, but more so the actual leaf is what mine like. Here's the kind, don't mistake it for wood sorrel which my guys don't care for.

being in an apartment in a city is no reason... buy a few selfwatering planters (troughs or pots), dump some potting mix in , buy a mix of seeds for various weeds/herbs , water and in not much time you'll have stacks of greens on hand to pick from.
