Gaping?

Can someone please explain the open mouth stare to me? Both of my male dragons have moments where their mouths are open just a bit. I always think that they're dehydrated even though they have a bowl of water and their tanks sprayed daily. So I dribble water in their mouths. But I'm wondering if its really just something else?!

No perfectly normal beardies gape as a way to regulate the temperature in their bodies if they get to warm under their basking spot. Its not a bad idea to still give them water just in case if they do get a little dehytrated but its completely normal

Yes as Brandon said as long as it doesn't happen on the cool side but under their lights then it is normal

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
