Game bird meal for dubia, good or bad.

Went to the feed store and realized I didn't know which chicken feed since there are like 12. Grabbed the highest protein at 25% which was game feed. But now researching it I'm thinking it's not good?
Some online say it's too high of protein but I've read here and elsewhere that they use dog biscuits, cat food, etc with higher protein.

Thoughts? I have a little food here for my current feeders but my start up colony should arrive in a few days and need this for them.

Many people do fine feeding high protein, some report deaths. If you experience die offs after starting the new feed either discontinue or cut it with something low protein. Dubia will self select if given the opportunity.

I feed low protein, there is some evidence roaches can store uric acid and I'd rather be safe than sorry. I keep alfalfa pellets for protein (switched from chicken feed) and feed fresh veggies otherwise.

I have tons of alfalfa pellets I was going to use for digging but my dragon doesn't care for it.
Do I grind it? Can I maybe mix 50/50 with the feed then and be better you think?

I toss it in as pellets, I'm too lazy to grind bug food. Mine are actually rabbit pellets, 13% protein but I started using them for the same reason, dig box left overs It couldn't hurt to mix them.
