Funny thing about supers

Ok, we've been feeding supers to Angie for sometime (few weeks maybe longer) and she doesn't seem to be interested in them anymore. Usually leave some in a small bowl for her to eat. Today when I came home (and getting my grubs from reptilefood) I got some out and ready to feed her. I took out what supers were left in her bowl and put them back into their bin.

But I kept hearing this weird scratching noise. Couldn't see anything in her viv but I kept hearing it - really really faint like. So I lifted her faux rock structure! Some of those supers had gotten underneath and were MUNCHING on the styrofoam or digging at it! THAT was the darn noise I kept hearing. Those little SOB's - there were 1/2 dozen underneath there and I had white dust from them digging/scratching or whatever the heck they were doing. I got them out and those that were still alive got dumped back into the bin and the few that died got dumped into the trash. I will NO LONGER put them into a bowl and leave it!

Obviously I need a deeper bowl for them! :lol:

Wow! Someone told me a shallow cat dish will hold them in.

By the way, when did you find out Angus was a girl? lol! I was worried my dragon would end up being a girl after I gave him a boy's name and called him "he" for five months but I'm pretty sure he's actually a he. It must be hard to adjust to that kind of change!

By the way, when did you find out Angus was a girl? lol! I was worried my dragon would end up being a girl after I gave him a boy's name and called him "he" for five months but I'm pretty sure he's actually a he. It must be hard to adjust to that kind of change!

Well I posted pix of his/her vent asking because I just wasn't sure. After looking and looking, I'm still not sure but think he's a she and YES it was (is) hard. I still say him sometimes or say Angus! Can you tell I'd really rather have an Angus? :lol: The thought of possibly needing a lay box scares me!

Yeah, I'm very glad my beardie is male. I'm still not 100% sure he is, because I'm not a beardie sexing expert, but I brought up the "beardie sexing guide" that's in the info and articles, and I compared my dragon to the pictures (let me tell you, he just loved that) and I'm pretty sure he's a male. Needing a lay box would scare me too. Vash has had enough health issues already without eggs being involved, lol

LOL...same thing has happened here. I went to clean Tega's tank, and took out his blanket....2 super worms fell on me. I screamed. :mrgreen:
