funny stuff

I forgot how much Smaug loved his crickets (I bought some despite the fact they stink lol). I put some in his tank today and he was totally up for some carnage lol.
The poor crickets didn't even know what hit them lol. Don't you think it must suck being a feeder insect? lol.

Yeah, my Elliot loves crickets more than anything. He refuses to eat phoenix worms and the like, though (which is disappointing since they're so much easier to deal with!). Crickets are such a hassle that I don't feel bad for them at all. I call it my revenge. :twisted:

Don't feel sorry for them! My friend had a cricket problem once. She said they looked just like feeder crickets except they were so large she swore they attacked her cat and rearranged her furniture. :lol: She loves to be at my house during feeding time, cheering on my beardies. She says it's revenge for the pain they caused her!

I give faeor locusts, they come in a plastic tub and the only way I can get them into his tank is to put the box in there and open the corner so they jump out one at a time (or he will eat them all, he will eat 6 of them!)

Trouble is the boxes are clear and he can see them in there, he tries to eat them through the plastic. Its really funny, I will try and get a vid.

I do feel sorry for the locusts cos they back off to the other end of the box when they see him. But at least they get a quick death

Smaug is a bit of a sadist- he snips their legs off then eats them lol

I've been throwing Lindy in the cricket tank for his feeding, he's in hogggggg heaven. I monitor how many he eats but he just stands in one spot and eats as they walk by.

i don't have a beardie (yet!!!) but what I do with crickets is get some of those 'feeder tongs'. you can grab the cricket without using ur fingers. its more hygenic for the lizard, too.

aargh my parents are hinting that they may let me get a beardie for christmas.... its torture not knowing for sure.... im gonna buy one even if they don't get it for me!!!

hey cool you're my age Beardies are soo much fun...and crickets are the dirtiest flipping little buggers i've ever kept lol

Speedy goes nuts over them...it's like for those few seconds that the crickets actually last in his lair, he becomes possessed by the soul of some cricket-destroying super monster. :lol:
