Fruits for Beardies

I'm a first time bearded dragon owner, although I've had my dragon for a little over two years now. While he used to be extremely picky about fruits and veggies (he used to only eat bok choy and pick around anything else), he's been much more willing to try other foods!

Are there any fruits/vegetables that I should avoid giving him? I generally have a rotating stock of fruits in the house and have been giving him small samples of some of them (grapes, blueberries, etc), but didn't know if there were any I need to avoid. I once read that broccoli can interfere with their calcium absorption if they eat too much of it, but that isn't something I usually have on hand anyway.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Hi there, green leafy veggies like turnip, mustard, collard, dandelion, arugula and green leaf clover are all good staples as well as squash and some green beans.

Fruits should not be a staple, but just a treat. Avocado, rhubarb and citrus fruits should be avoided.

Thank you! The fruits have just been treats; his staple is bok choy.

I will make sure to avoid all of those!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
