Friends beardie having problems! help!

A friend of mines beardie has been having a problem for about a week...

His face is turning white, he is having trouble lifting up his head, his beards gotten darker, he isnt eating.

He is about 5 years old.

It started out of nowhere, he is shedding currently however.

Please let me know asap what could be wrong! thank you

If hes shedding it might be because of that, but pictures would be alot of help.

I'm asking for some pictures right now, she is like 45 minutes away from me right now.

She says he is having trouble moving and opening his eyes. I'm asking some more questions about the light setup and stuff.

I do know he is on newspaper right now. They had an undertank heater, I did tell her to turn it off/take it out.

If you are using a heat mat, its safe to use it as long as its under something like polystyrene.
Is he foing alright by the way.

Ask your friend if she is using a Reptiglo 10.0 tube light or a coil bulb. Those two bulbs cause a lot of health issues. If she is, tell her to turn it off immediately. Tell her to buy a Reptisun 10.0 tube light. They come in coils, too, but do not let her get one of those either.

You can find Reptisun in most pet stores, but not all. I've noticed that pet stores sell Reptiglo and will try to sell you a product that puts out the wrong UVB wavelength.

You can get a light fixture from Walmart or have her go to a pet store and see if they've got any spare aquarium light fixture that supports fluorescent bulbs and have a starter on them.
