Frequent Gaping

I have a 2+ yr old female beardie named Sylus. (I don't know her exact age as I rescued her). She is around 18 in. long.

Lately she has been keeping her mouth slightly gaped open. She does this no matter what temp she is under so I do not think she is regulating.

She is in a HUGE enclosure. She has a Reptisun 10.0, heat ranges from 95 - 102 degrees on her basking/hot side and in the low 80s on her cool side. She has plenty of room to move to whatever temp is needed.

She eats supers and dubia (dusted 5x a week with calcium & once a week with vitamins). I have only had her about 3 mths. & she does not seem like a big salad eater. On a daily basis I give her mustard greens, turnip greens, yellow squash, carrots, blueberries (she did like those!) and sometimes peppers & cucumber. She never really pays too much attention to the salad though. She does get soaked at least once a week. I try for twice. We give her natural sun at least once a week.

So that is my story & I'm sticking to it! LOL

Any ideas on why she would be gaping so much lately?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

@~2 years old she doesn't need so much calcium, you can cut down to 3x a week.
What is the humidity in the enclosure? Substrate?

Thanks for the quick reply. Her substrate is tile and the humidity level is around 30% at its highest. She has a lot of ventilation.

She has a really nice enclosure, great job.
From what I gather, some dragon just tend to do this while others might have a RI.
Going from that I would say you can make a vet visit, if the RI is ruled out then she is just doing this normally (for her).

Nice substrate! How'd you do it?

We just laid and grouted the tile. The tile was leftovers someone on CL was giving away so we used what we were given. It was really easy & its great for clean up. It does make the enclosure heavy though.

We cant as it is grouted. We never have a need to unless one were to break but that has never happened.
