Freeze dried vegetables

I bought this mix of freeze dried vegetables by fluker I believe and I followed the instuctions on preparing it but it didn't look so appetizing when I was finished. It looked like mush and turned black pretty fast. Suprisingly, Justin picked at it for awhile (esspecially the flowers that were mixed in) but then he just walked away lol. I was just wondering if any of you guys have used any products like this before or if anyone has preparation suggestions? Thanks!!

I've never even thought of having to use freeze dried veggies.

I buy em' fresh, cut em' up throw some calc on em' and they eat away.
