Is there a way we can make it so that there is a required number of posts before somebody can reply to a 'free' classified and/or send a private message inquiring about free stuffs? We always seem to have trolls trying to scoop up free dragons for breeding.

Thoughts?

I'd have to dig into the permissions, but I don't think that kind of limit can be applied to a single forum. I think it's something that can be applied to an account across the site only.

You should be able to make certain sections/forums invisible to new posters until they have a certain number of posts, like say 100. If you need help figuring it out shoot me an e-mail, use to run several sites and I did it all the time, just depends on the server and program.

I understand. I've been running forum site software for about 15 years now. One thing I do need to also consider and look at is how many people do go to post on For Free/For Sale as one of their first posts. Or more importantly, of those, who stays around to add to the community (I don't prioritize people who take and don't give anything back).

I generally prefer to not block content from being read. Even for high risk spam sources (certain subnets/countries), I allow the ability to read content, but not register/post. But it might be reasonable to do for this purpose. I'll look into that method. It might be possible to apply different rules to the "Newly Registered" group (which is how I think phpBB does it).

Anyway, I do need to look into it. It's more a matter of time than anything else. Being an Info Sec guy by trade, I'm particular about user authorization settings. :)

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
