Freaking Out???

So recently my beardie Marty has been frantically clawing at the glass. She's about a year old and a few months. She'll be calmly basking on her log and then jump off, claw at the glass and run at the sides. Then she runs to the other side and claws the glass. After awhile she stops, and then she repeats it again . I know it's not because she's unused to people, I have her in the living room, and there's constant activity there. Is she getting ready to try and lay eggs or something? Some one please help, it would be greatly appreciated.

It's fairly common for them to get restless around that age. I would offer her a safe space outside the tank to explore and burn off some energy. If she's showing digging behavior and her appetite has decreased she may need to lay eggs but that's not necessarily the case. You could build her a dig box out of damp play sand and organic topsoil mixed together so it can hold a tunnel and see if she wants to dig around. You may just need to be patient and let her burn off energy for a while though. My guy is a bit older but has been doing that for several months now. I just give him free roam of the house (it's cleared and safe) and set up portable basking lights for him to return to when he gets cold.
