Found a black mass in throat...

I have been posting awhile about my sick beardie Shenron. He hasn't gotten any better and tonight when he was doing his gulping thing he does every minute or two I saw a black mass way back in his throat on top about the size of a pea. I'm pretty sure there's only one thing that can be .
He goes to a specialist tomorrow at University of Illinois but I'm pretty sure now that there will be no good news. I've read a few stories about them getting cancer can anyone add any info? Thank you in advance.

Omg that's very worrying. I hope its something treatable. I will send prayers his way. Maybe you have found the source of his issues now. Hopefully they can treat him and get him healthy for you.

Oh I'm so sorry to hear that. Poor little guy.
You've gone above and beyond for him, i wish the outcome had been better, it isn't fair. I hope that you will continue to keep beardies, they truely are fantastic little personalities. I also hope you continue to be a part of this community. I think it takes a different kind of person to keep reptiles and that they bring us together when the rest of the world seems to be trying to rip itself apart.

We are putting him down in the next couple days. The vet said they could try to biopsy and or remove the mass but it's risky and his gout is worse. He's not staying hydrated no matter how much he drinks. We believe it's time. I did have them do another blood panel so just waiting for that just in case his uric acid levels are lowered.

Your beautiful guy has been so lucky that he has you in his corner.

The decision to give them peace, comfort, is a difficult one, but at the end of the day, a very kind gesture to a beloved pet.

Oh no, I am so sorry to hear that, bless him. Definitely post the blood test results here for us to
see if you can. It's awful especially when they are so young that they develop an ailment such as
gout like this.
Let us know how things are going & if you may have a surgery done.
