Hey there! I have been a member of this site for a while with my beardie, Dragon. My brother's friend also has a little female- and I get to take care of her while he's in Chile doing a study abroad program. I am so excited! I get her today and he leaves on Thursday. I can't wait to have another beardie to love! A question: Dragon is a very, very mellow boy. Does gender affect temperment? Everyone I have talked to has said that their beardie is unique, one of a kind. Are there general attitudes that come with male or female beardies?

From what I hear the males are more social with humans but can be more aggressive / territorial. Males are more likely to bob their heads where as females are more likely to wave their arms, but they both can do either. As you said they all have their own personalities some are more quiet than others. Make sure you don't keep them in the same enclosure because the males can be aggressive and territorial to other dragons in close quarters.
