Foot infection?

I got my beardie in the beginning of October and I noticed he had a small scab on his right foot. I got him from Petsmart where he was housed with other beardies and figured he got nipped and didnt think to much of it.... until now. Over the past week Ive noticed his foot has swelled up quite a bit and is twice the size of the other and I think he has an infection from the bite? Im freaking out since my last baby died in April of this year. I cant afford to take him to a vet right now and was wondering if there is ANYTHING I can do to get the infection in his foot to go away? He cant move his toes and isnt walking around now. Please help me!

His setup is as follows: 4ftx2ft high acrylic enclosure, reptile UV 100 watt bulb, paper towels for substrate, and a log thing I got from Petsmart as well. Hes about 18 inches from the light and his basking temp stays about 90-92 degrees and away from drafts. Hes a lil fattie and happy as can be. Ha.

Soak the foot in a betadine solution for 15-30 minutes 3+ times a day. to make the solution, ust mix betadine with warm - not hot - water until the solution is the colour of tea. You can normally get betadine from any drug store. As well, a saturated epsom salt solution can be used. In both cases, only submerge the affected foot in the solution.

If after 2-3 days of doing this the infection still appears to be getting worse, I would recommend trying to find a way to get him to a vet.

Also, maybe see if you can get his basking temp a little higher (100-105)- a beardie's immune system works best when he is nice and warm!

So, Ive been soaking Puffs leg in salts ( doing it now) and it seems to be getting better.
