I am EXTREMELY sick of crickets. Its been almost a year I've had to deal with crickets for my leo, and now for my beardie too.
I get superworms for my leo now (don't worry, those are snacks, don't yell at me) but those seem way too intense for a 7" baby beardie.

Heres my issue. I would LOVE to get roaches, but I'm stuck at my parents house for 9 months untill I can legaly move out. Heh, my mom hates roaches more than snakes, and that A LOT! I brought it up and this was her face: :angry5:

So my question... what else can I get? I've looked around and heard a lot of different things but I want your opinion

Thankyou! ^^

if you think that things will get better when you move out, you are in for a rude awakening .....listen to and respect your mother.....being only 17 years old, you still need an adult to guild you and make better decisions regarding your well being.

Oh, I know things aren't going to get better, just stating the reason I can't get roaches of any sort for feeding. And wondering what else would be a good choice for feeding...

Worms: horn, silk, phoenix (they're small and are eaten up quickly)...........butter for little change. All have different requirements to maintain till eaten. These are VERY healthy options. Worms are way better than crickets for storage issues. I alternate the worms and have veggies available all the time. My 7 month old Sandy is healthy, happy and lovin her food. I'm learning the technique of getting small worms, having them grow big, and still have a stash available. This is my "science project" HA!

Heh, fun science project. =)

Hmm, now I need to find a place to get said worms... the pet shop in my town lacks selection. They have crickets, superworms, and on very rare occasion meal worms...

I order all of them from Mulberry Farms..............very dependable, quick and healthy wormies. Have not gotten into superworms (guess they're cheaper) cuz my Sandy is only 7 months old, and charts show supers are not the best nutrition=wise (and beardie needs to be over 16" long). Like I mentioned, I don't spend any $$$ on low nutrition, snax, etc. the REAL food costs enough, but want my baby to have a good start and be as healthy as possible.

I only got into supers for my leo, I give him like 2 a week, and they last a REALLY long time. I think I may just start a massive superworm farm and never run out again =P

I'll check out mulberry farms,
make sure my mom isn't suddenly terrified of any of those worms... hehe
I may act mean but I love her

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
