Laugh all you want but after buying my beardy thinking yeh i can feed him crickets i was mistaken. Can i feed him these silkworms, butter worms and superworms instead of crickets or roaches? because i absolutely hate insects!

What ones sre best nutrition wise to feed him or is it best to give a variety along with a side salad?

Silks are the best, butters are good. Supers are great for beardies over 16 inches. They can get impacted if they have them before their digestive tract straightens.

Ok cool thanks for that, I'm going to go to my local reptile centre later and see if they have any. Is there a need to dust them? Or shall I just dust his veg. He's 18 months old so he eats more veg right? Sorry I only got him a few days ago and would rather feed him properly as there's so many opinions on the net and in pet shops etc.

My personal opinion is all of them. I feed mine a variety of roaches but I am starting some supers soon and maybe some other insects as well as I keep other insect eaters too. Variety is probably the absolute best even if doesn't include roaches or some of the other staple insects out there. Of course the insect's nutritional content depends on what it consumes and is made of as well. I know people that have raised roaches on nothing but alpo dog food and they raised some roaches, but then there are some out there (like me  ) that feed their roaches a large variety of plant materials from the traditional fruits/vegis to certain types of grasses, oak leaves and even bee pollen! and some higher grade animal protein sources such as fish, milk or egg products.

so in my opinion which 1 bug is best for your dragon...absolutely NONE, unless it is a little bit of everything. 8)

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
