Fluker's?

Ok so I ordered about 500 crickets from Flukers farm and when we got them over half of them were dead and there were a bunch of wormy thingys and beetles in the box.. I called them as soon as I opened the package(bout 5hours after getting it) but they are closed for the weekend. Does anyone know what these wormmies or beetles are and if they r for something specific?

Hello Those are cleaner beetles. They clean up after the crickets. They are harmless

ooooohhhh! ok lol what about the wormies? r they larva? Is it safe to feed them to my beardie? Just in case I accidently get 1 when I feed him!

They are all safe to feed.

I use them to and so far have had no problems except a shipment from last week. Same thing happened to me and i called monday and they sent a new box out. Be honest and TRY to count as many dead as you can so you can give them a number.
My dragon loves the beetles haha

I've ordered several times from them and never had a problem. The only dead ones I've seen were the ones that get squished in the folds of the box, and maybe a few others, but not enough to be concerend about.

your lucky. I've ordered the 500 count about 3 times now and every time I've had to call them up and try to get them to send a new shipment, this last time they told me to not order from them again until it gets warmer :x

hmmm - I guess it's just not as cold where I am in the NorthEast.
Sorry you've had back luck - that kinda stinks - I'd be a little upset myself under those circimstances.
Is there any place closer that may have quicker shipping ?

I don't know, I am trying him on silkworms and phoenix worms, but he doesn't seem to want any phoenix worms and I cant order the silkworms until next Monday. I've been freaking out about him not eating.. I live in the North West, in the ho rain forest lol but when I did order it was not too bad out, temps in the 60-70's so idk. id rather not deal w crickets anymore anyways lol

Yeah, mine spit out phoenix worms the little brat. I wish he'd eat them.

I have been told it is an acquired taste, some dragons wont eat them but if they are supplied enough they start to? idk tho I hope he changes his mind!
