flu??

hi guys Lexi is being very weird to day he is eating none stop but he seems to be sneezeing and coughing. his eyes r clear and he is nice and alert. im waiting on money this week so i can change out his lights. but i cant seem to get the temp over 80.


edit: he did sleep under my bed for about 3 hours yesturday . . .

He may have a respiratory infection. Does he have snot running from him nose? What is the humidity level in the tank? If it is above 30% you are going to want to get the humidity down right away.

You need to get his temps higher. Can you use a brick or something to raise his basking spot? The low temps can cause a respiratory infection but it could also just be dust from yesterday.

ok he stoped sneezing so i think it was from the dust ^^ his noise is nice and clear. how do you drop humity in a tank? theres is nothing inn there that could be raiseing it

Do you know what your humidity is? I would worry about your temps before humidity. Once your temps are closer to 100*, humidity issues may resolve themselves unless you have a waterbowl in the tank. If you notice excessive mucus, strained breathing, or a runny nose, it may be an RI and you should probably have a vet check it out.
