first time out exploring!

well i finally got up the nerve to take rocky out tonite and let him explore a bit. blocked off so he could have the hallway and bathroom (keep him safe and keep lucky (my hairball) away from him)! put him on the floor, he was like what is this? then i brought out the crickets lol - figured make it a pleasurable experienc - gave him about a dozen, spaced out here and there. u should've seen those little legs go on the linoleum after them rotfl! he found the shower, tried to get up there but couldn't get in. so gave him a little boost and he was like woah what is this? hopped back out, checked the bathroom out, then decided to crawl under the stand i have my towels and stuff on....i moved it aside to get him out, and some washcloths and my showercap fell on him. i was like uh oh...slowly lifted them off, HISSSSSSSSSS and pancake time! but he took it in stride, i gave him a couple more crickets to chill him out lol. sat down on the floor, and he came over and crawled on me, even came up my shirt and looked at me and cocked his head. sooooooooooo cute! had him out about 45 min, he was fun lol. next time will go for a bit longer till he gets used to it.

when he crawled up my shirt like he did and cocked his head and looked at me my heart just melted.....i mean i loved him before, but it's now at a whole new level! lol

took a pick of him with my cell when he was in the shower, but don't know if i can post that on here???

it's fun watching them explore. and horrible how funny they look when they try to run. especially when some of us do things to make them run so we can laugh :s

when we first moved into our apartment my husband and i sat on the floor with worms and we would drop them and watch Mr. Dargon run back and forth. or struggle to run back and forth.

Started Silver out in the bathroom also. I have 4 fur balls to watch out for. I put blankets down and fed him silkworms as well for positive reinforcement. Got a harness so I can take him out both indoors and outside. So much fun to watch them watch things!

yes, he was soooo cute! tomorrow he gets more time out and his bath. so far besides the 1st time he "poo'd", he only goes in his bath. fine by me, much easier cleaning and disposal lol.

was really happy to get him out tonite, i've had him out b4 holding him, but it was always with a tight hold on him so he wouldn't bolt on me. figured if i had him blocked off with nowhere to hide i could get him back. i really don't want to have him have to be in his tank all the time, that ain't right. really surprised me tho when he came and crawled up on me...won my heart even more lol. was funny tho, he kept sticking his tongue out at my shoe like it was a bug or something lol. did the same thing to the cabinet door in the bathroom. lol strange boy have

The more you take them out the more comfortable you and they will get. After the bathroom we graduated to the bedroom. Silver loved the carpeting and climbing on the bedding etc. Wanted to be able to keep cats out too.

As for the pictures I use the IPad but watched a couple YouTube videos to get the Potobucket picture posting. Check that out that out and let's see some pics!Good luck and good night.

i think next time will use my regular camera to get the pics, so will be easy to post them. just was easier to reach around the gate and grab my cell so i could still keep an eyeball on him. am looking into a bigger enclosure for him, he's in a 20 gal now and not really cramped YET but he's growing fast. would actually like to make one, got some thoughts in mind here, just gotta get it all figured out. i can be handy sometimes lol. was thinking of plywood and plexiglass....any kind of plywood harmful to dragons??? also thought maybe an old bureau or bookcase, but once again, can it be only certain types of wood and would the paint be harmful??

You can email yourself the photo from your phone then save a copy of it to your hard drive. After that go to photobucket and upload it there. It sounds like you both had a fun time.

You should be able to email pics straight to your photo bucket account, that's what I do. The address you email them to is in the account settings on photo bucket and under the 'mobile' tab.

he's getting big! fast! lol seriously need to get / make him a new enclosure....wish i had more tools! also wish i could make him a playground of sorts out of his tank, but hard to do with Lucky, i had to gate him up yesterday so she couldn't get to him. after seeing what she does to lizards outside i don't trust her at all! lol have rescued more than one little lizard that she has caught
