First time he's shed

It's the first time he has shed since he's arriving and I've started to feel itchy are I touch him even after washing my hand I get all itchy.. don't know if it's cause the shredding it's kinda grossing me out or its some sort of allergic reaction

Any one have this problem before?? Thanks in advance

Just wanted to confirm, you're saying you're feeling itchy while he's shedding?

It's possible he could be causing an allergic reaction, however this is pretty uncommon and unlikely. Is there anything new introduced to his environment or your home? What kind of substrate is he on? It's possible he has particles on him that are causing a reaction.

Personally, I get rashes/outbreaks from their little pin-needle claws that get itchy and rashy, but I have very sensitive skin that even reacts the same way if I touch my chin stubble to my shoulder.

It's also worth noting that you could be allergic to his feeders. Roaches are a known allergen.

How long have you had him and is this your first time with the reaction?

It's stopped happening now I think it was jist my mind playing tricks on me tbh
