im having fantastic luck with roaches lol, now this order has ran into "an issue" and it hasnt been shipped even though my order was placed 3-4 days ago. They are however offering me 100 extra roaches for my inconvenience where dubideli didnt offer me anything for the delay, so hopfuly ill get the order from ab dragons next week somtime :silent:

Dubideli is in my city about 15 min. from me and just started ordering from them too. I had about 40 die off from my first order of around 250 5/8 size and talked with the guy there through Facebook and then email. He was pretty helpful about telling me that I needed to totally cover my tank with paper so it was totally dark and make my crates go up the tank rather than on the bottom. Guess the dubia will cluster under and suffocate one another?
2nd order had less die off but still about 20. I'm not sure what's normal for Dubia and their life span but I only had them about 7-8 days since mine eats up to 50 a day if I don't also give worms.

I just got in my 3rd order today of 350 3/4 and will see how they do with the crates now going upwards and total darkness also. I'm really hoping for less die off since I get my dubia from them in 1 day. They seem pretty popular too so not sure if it was just me not setting the tank up well to begin with.

dubideli was good and i would of ordered from them again if they allowed larger orders of the large and xlarge sizes but since my first order they have cut down from 500 max to 200 max on orders. Ab dragon however is closer to the state i live in and has offered to add 100 extra roaches for a issue they had when the order was made wich is making them look like the better place for me right now. So far both sites have had issues getting the orders out but ab dragons seems to have better responce time on replying back to emails, but i havnt gotten the order yet and it was placed around 5 days ago  . Dubideli's order took around 2 weeks to get here and the responce to emails was usualy 1-3 days after i emailed them.

I had to go to my old apartment in burlington vt today to get the rest of my stuff as i moved back home with my dad in ny 1-2 months ago. So while i was there i picked up 60 hornworms 50 superworms and 50 butterworms to give Daenarys somthing diffrent in her diet other then roaches. She loves the hornworms and butter worms but this is the first time shes had super worms and she doesnt seem to fond of them either that or she cant see them as well as they are brown vs the red butterworm and green hornworm.

Ab dragons order came in and only took 2 days from when it was shipped, and i recieved 100 extra for having to wait a week for it to be shipped. All seem very healthy out of what i recieved and none were dead, and as of yet i havnt lost any from this order from what i can see.

I've ordered Dubias from Dubia Deli. The orders were fine with no problems. I even ordered them in the winter. They really do take into account for weather. My only issue with Dubia Deli is their use of the USPS and the fact my local USPS are ******. I've had the best luck ordering off eBay believe it or not. Now I've got my colony on track and I'm pretty much at 100% as far as sustaining my needs. It takes a while to get up and running to where you can sustain your reptiles. I've always said that's about the only draw back of using Dubias. But it's kinda fun... And weird at times. I've got my coworkers giving me their unwanted oranges and apples at lunch time. Probably tired of me saying...ooooh are you gonna eat that orange because my roaches would totally tear that up!

Could be the dog or cat food... I remember a few years ago, there was a problem with pet food imported from China (melamine or something in it)... I have also heard that too much protein isn't good for roaches... but I don't think it would cause them to twitch!

I've been ordering most of my dubias from lllReptile this year. Couldn't be happier. Just ordered their housing kit with my last order. Great value. And they have a great selection of other dubia products. Also great customer service anytime I've called with questions. I would check them out. Best of luck!

im almost posative the dead roaches were due to temperature drop and kibbles and bits dog food, once temps were fixed and all the kibbles was removed i seemed to stop having as many deaths. Now i maybe see 1 death every few weeks.

no noticable deaths anymore and my colony is producing alot of babies now :blob8: Ive pulled about 100 out of the colony so far and thats just from a few carton shakes not a full clean out. Once my feeder bin of around 1000 is empty my colony should be perfect to refill it

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
