My beardie finally arrived via FedEx today and here he is. Just have a couple questions to make sure he's ok .

All of the items in the enclosure besides the log , hammock and food dishes are made of styrofoam/grout/mod podge.

When he got here this morning I gave him a bath and he drank some water . He had 4 Dubia roaches and 3 crickets an hour after basking for a while . He likes to be on his log at the highest point which gets to be around 110F and opens his mouth every once in a while . I haven't seen him go to the cool side which is at 84F and in his cave a couple degrees cooler I would guess (can't get my temp gun in there far enough to get a reading) .

A while after that my roommate held him for a bit and he went on a cushion she had him on . It wasn't runny nor hard but a dark greenish color . Breeder fed him collard greens I was told .

Anything out of the normal ? He's about 2 months old .
His lights are a Reptisun 24in T8 and a 100watt Exo terra intense basking spot .

Looking good! That greenish poo was most likely due to the collared greens. When my girl actually eats hers like she's suppose to her poo is sometimes a little greenish. Your set up sounds good.
Congrats on him he's a handsome boy

Thanks for the reply ! :) feeling better now .

He has dark spots behind his neck , somewhat tucked in behind his jaw . Pigmentation or stressing ? Would you know what that could be ?

It's probably his coloring if it is the spot I'm thinking of. Could you possibly post a picture of the area?

If it is the area sort of behind his ears (it's hard to explain, but right behind where the beard sort of ends and there is a few spikes) than its perfectly normal. Mine is black in that area as well it's just her coloring

That's exactly where it is . Thank you . Was worried for a sec . Since he's about 2 months do you know about how many silkworms I should stock up on ?

I'll be feeding Dubias too but mostly silkworms once I get them shipped .

A lot lol. At 2 months they can really pack away some food. He may be able to down anywhere from 20-100 insects a day. If you find any one insect is becoming too pricy just mix it up. That will help you save on the more pricy insects (by using more of the less expensive) and it provides variety which is always good. silks and dubias are really good options, the best imo

Yeah I've read that they eat a lot and it seems he's stressed out from the being relocated since he doesn't move much from his basking area and doesn't really want to eat . I got him to eat 4 Dubias and 3 crickets the first day but he doesn't seem to really want to eat much more than that .

This is very common the first few days-weeks. Just encourage him to eat what he will for now and once he's had time to settle in he should pick up. They do spend a lot of time basking and I've found when my girl isn't basking often her temps are usually too high, so this is good. As long as they aren't too low than your golden (between 95-110 is good for a young dragons basking site).

Oh yes shedding on top of settling into a new home will certainly be stressful on the little guy. He will settle in and be completely comfortable before you know it. Just keep working with him by offering food, handling him, and even talking to him and that should all help to speed up the process. Keep us updated on how he is doing, he sure is a beautiful little guy :)

Got my hands on some reptiworms finally and he doesn't even seem interested -.- lol he's been eating more roaches though so there's improvement and he's almost done shedding . I'm going to try and get him to eat some worms though since I have lots now .

He's looking good and healthy so that's great! My female is the same way about Phoenix worms lol it's a little aggravating at times. She seems to be much more interested in roaches and other things that actually run around than a worm. Keep trying he may come around, but it sounds like he's settling in nicely and picking up on the food which is so good to hear

Update : Today he ate about 5 medium roaches and actually ate some reptiworms when I put them on my hand for him . And he's about done shedding for now .

Yay! You go little man. Don't know if you knew this or if someone has already mentioned it but at his size/age he can be offered insects 3x a day. 5 right now is a good improvement especially if they are mediums. Just make sure they are no larger than the space between his eyes. So glad to hear he's grubbing so good now. He is such a handsome little guy ?

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
