first custom viv for Booger, viv done for now, new pics toda

I can't afford to build a really nice viv for Booger right now, so since I got some free wood from work this is what I have so far. I will put screen on the font and top for now, then when I have the money I will put glass doors in front and put plywood on the top with vents on both sides and back, I know its not the straightest of wood, but at least I can get her out of her small viv for now. I still have to sand it, paint and seal it. I will put slate tiles on the floor, then some type of sunscreen I have here at the house to cover her cave. When I can afford to build a really fancy viv for her I will turn this one into a stand for her new viv. At least when I build her another one, I will have it down to where I might not make a mistake. This is 4' by 2' wide and 2' tall.

You could always try your hand at building some fake rocks.. It's fairly inexpensive.. About 10$ for a sheet of foam insulation (pink or blue board) that's 4'x8' so it will last a while!! And a box or two of grout at 10-11$ each, I say two bc you need sanded and non sanded. But it's definitely an easy way to make something super custom as you can make it however you want!! Hope this inspires some ideas!!

First coat of paint. I will order the track for the plex glass this weekend on line, better price and home depot doesn't carry any of the track. Then I will get home depot to cut plex glass next weekend. I got repti carpet for now until I can get slate tile, Booger should be in her new viv next weekend. Then I will have to get longer fixture for her Repti-sun and new light. I can't wait to get her in there. I thought I had a 40 gallon breeder tank but its only 3 foot long, 12 inches wide and she is 16 inches, so a little small, but she only has to deal with it for another week

Wow!! She's beautiful!! She's definitely gonna love you bunches more than she already does for the pretty new viv!! What was the inspiration for her name? Lol

Not sure on the name, just a name I liked that would work for both boy or girl, just found out a month or so ago she is a girl, but wanted something different. I call her Booger, Booger butt, Booges, you name it. I love her a lot, and she is so spoiled too. She has to fall asleep on me and I have to rub her back and of course wrap her up in her binkie.

Lol that's so sweet that she likes to cuddle. I can't wait till mine are big enough to do the same and not wanna just run away. I like booger lol I just though it was an odd choice lol. I call our bailey: bailes, bailey boo, bailey poo, anything that rhymes lol your doing great with her, how long have you had her?

I got Booger in Jan when she was 5-6 weeks old. I bought her from a breeder in town. Her mom was a bright yellow and her dad was orange and brown. She will be 11 months old this next weekend. It took me about 2 months before she was tame, I got bit a couple of times, she would run away and hiss at me, now she would rather be with me then in her viv, but maybe because its a little small for her, her favorite spot is on the couch looking out the window. She goes places with me in her carrier, to the feed store, pet store and visiting friends. Today she will going to visit a freind with me. Everyone loves her.
