First Beardie "Tang" *Added Pics* dial-up beware

I just got my first bearded yesterday after spending a week or two looking around at what was available in the area. Believe it's a female and it's a yellow sandfire morph.

It slipped my mind last night to ask the pet store how old she is, can they be aged by size? Mine is 5 1/2 to 6" tip of head to end of tail.

While some people can make fairly accurate guesses of a Dragon's age by size, I'm of the opinion that it varies greatly from dragon to dragon according to the care they've received.

For example, a two month old juvie who's temperatures are correct, who has adequate UVB lighting, and who gets plenty to eat is likely to be quite a bit bigger than a juvie who's living conditions aren't as good as the first beardies.

So, sorry, I can't help ya much on age determination. She DOES look very healthy and in good shape, though, so that's a plus.

Well, thanks anyways,
I went back and asked at the pet store and they basically took a guess and said 2-4 months based on her size and what type of care she received before they got her.

I'm very happy with my new baby beardie though!!

hi there, we got our beardie Isaac at 6 weeks, and he looked pretty much the same size, so i recon he's between 6-8 weeks old.
