Hello everyone... first time posting here. Been reading a lot the past 2 days and I have gathered soooo much interesting info that I have a few question

I just got a baby BD and its only about 2 weeks old. I had gathered that they eat 20-60 crickets a day. What about mealworms? Are they able to eat them or should you wait till they are a little older for them due to them being a bit fatty for them? Also, we have been feeding him dandelion greens and he seems to LOVE those.

Basically I would like to know what he should and how much he should be eating daily.

We just gave him his first bath and he seemed to love it.
Please help!

Congrats! crickets are good! mealworms not so much specially while he/she is so young. they have a harder to digest outer body and can be tricky for them. some do fine and some hav issues digesting them. should stick with the greens and crickets untill they are older. hope this helps! =] you should got on iherp and create an account so we can see your little one =] my username is the same over there! goodluck!

Yeah I pretty much thought it was better off to stick with greens and crickets. It seemed he had an issue with eating the mealsworms. I also started an account at Iherp.com. Name is Ryu2011.

I am a little concerned though. Today he ate a good bit of greens BUT didnt eat much of anything else. We tried to give him some worms and some smaller crickets sprayed with vitamin spray and dusted with some calcium poweder and he seemed to be more in terror than worried about eating. We tried a different container to feed him in. He has already had his first shed too. Should I be worried or just let it be and feed him as he wants food.

Just give him time don't sloth anything up keep it consistent everyday same routine and he will begin to eat he just needs structure. If it goes on for more than a week lemme know ill give you some other options but I'm sure he will eat just don't pressure him and keep it the same everyday.

I will try that out. We have some pretty oddball bed times and wake up times for him but thats because my fiance and I work wierd/different schedules.

You should feed them 2x daily correct? What about leaving food in the tank for him to eat as he pleases?

Twice a day is fine our breeder says once a day is fine to which OS what we do to ensure she eats.. its all up to your schedule . Our schedule is word too but I've learned they eat best in the morning before we go to work. As for leaving them in, just for an hour tops because uneaten crickets will bite and stress the beardy out.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
