Thank you so much everyone!!! Loving my My beardie!

To answer your question, I'm using the oh so expensive for no reason 50 watt Sun Glo by exo terra. Seems to be working fine. Though I do find that the beam of light is very tight and my beardie would rather bask around the perimeter where the temp is in the mid 80's.

My beardie has been going to the bathroom regularly but, Def not eating 20 - 100 crickets a day. The most I have seen him eat is about 4. But, he is very active and alert.

Besides that, everything has been going extremely well, He/she is so funny to watch!

Thanks everyone!

Yep lookin' good! :)

Your little one is adorable and so tiny... :love5:

BTW...when the basking bulb needs replacing you might try a flood bulb from the hardware store. I find that the Phillip's brand works really good for this. They also last about 2 years.

Haven't posted in awhile.

We had a slight mishap in our household with the dragons basking lamp. I keep the lamp on top of the mesh screen on the viv but, some how, ( we think our dog tripped over the cord) it fell on the floor nearly causing a fire. The carpet has a 1/2in diameter burn hole in it. Not good :(

So I zip tied the lamp to the screen to secure it. Plus Papoose( our dragon) is now on the patio( we live in florida and the patio is screened in). It has been going well for a while now, all temps are fine, and if it does get cold at night we bring him in. I am Looking forward to building a viv or modifying a 75 gallon that I have so we can bring him back inside when he outgrows his current viv.

Any other tips on how to make everything fire-proof or suggestions on how to make a lighting set up safe are much appreciated.

Now... Today I gave him another bath and figured I would take some pics so everyone could see how much he has grown!... He is currently shedding, just finished his tail 2 days ago :0)

You can really see the difference before and after a shed. His colors are gorgeous when he's happy.

What great pics! Papoose is so cute :) So sorry to hear about the burnt carpet... If you so build your own custom viv you can probably design it so all the lights are inside. Until then... they make a clamp lamp stand... it has a flat base that can slide under your tank anthem has an adjustable vertical arm that you can hang your fixture from. Another option would be to look at a hood style fixture tha has a fixture for your uvb and your heat light.
Good luck and thanks for sharing the cute baby pics :)

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
