Fire and Ice Dragons?

Hey guys, I recently made a decision without much research. I ordered a 7" 50/50 Citrus/fire red Beardy from Fire and Ice Dragons for $215 which will ship to me on Monday, and then decided for some reason, AFTER already giving them my cc info to do research. There is quite a lot of bad reviews on the internet about them, but also a few good ones, and their facebook page has nothing but good and nearly 12k likes..

My experience so far has been good and she seems very knowledgeable, but I was hoping someone who has bought from them, or knows someone who has, could chime in. I'm not expecting a amazing colored dragon, but I figured since it is my first beardie it would be cool to have a pedigree certificate from a trusted breeder, as well as a for sure healthy and strong dragon, however a few reviews even said that their dragons from them had adeno or coccidia, so now I am TERRIFIED. I don't have the money for vet bills so if that's the case I don't know what I will do.. someone please tell me about positive experiences with them.

i just bought three dragons from her before reading all the reviews, now i'm wondering the same thing... when are you due to get your dragons?

It should be shipping tomorrow, "if weather permits". The weather looks good to me, but we'll see.

well i think we both may be in the same boat... i think i may be waiting till wednesday I'm not quite sure since the overnight temps where i live won't be above 18 till wednesday... kind of nerve wracking when you send someone a whole lot of money then see the reviews afterwards... i have noticed one thing about most of the reviews is that they are pre 2011... in fauna classifieds the boi post about her is form 2005, so who knows.. she's been very nice to me, but what I'm worried about is a healthy dragon. and it kind of worried me when she explicitly told me not to take the dragon to a vet, but to call her if anything went wrong... that just kind of seemed weird ya know?

Yeah we are definitely in the same boat. I too am quite terrified. She has also been nothing but nice to me as well, but you never know I suppose. I don't understand how if they have such bad reviews could have been in business for a decade though, so we will see. All I want is a healthy dragon as well, it will be my first one. That is pretty weird about the vet thing, not that I have any experience with that though, maybe someone else can chime in who knows better. But we are buddies now!

thats kind of what I'm thinking but you never know. a lot of what i read was other breeders and whatnot just saying they didn't like the way they treated her and about some line breeding and whatnot, but who knows if thats just people bashing her because they don't like her or if she actually puts out a defective dragon which i would be right along with them complaining as well. but it got to the point where i was reading so much negativity that it was really starting to get me down so in the end i just stopped reading up on her, and figured i would see for myself. well congratulations on your first beardie! they are additive with the three that i have coming will bring me to a total of 6 bearded dragons. what kind did you get rom her a citrus?

Wow that's quite a lot of dragons you have! Nah not a citrus, I could not decide on citrus or a red, so I purchased a 50/50 citrus x fire from her so I can have the best of both worlds. I'm very curious to see what it will look like as an adult, I've been spending a lot of time on google images, but haven't seen a pure 50/50 mix yet. It's parents are Tansy and Flash. Which ones did you decide on?

i bought the super citrus male, one of the 50/50 citrus fire mixes and i just ordered one of the new clutch. the super citrus parents are pearl x picasso, the 50/50's are tansy x flash and the new clutch which wont be ready till march are flame x rose. i know what you mean about not being able to decide about which one you wanted, thats why i just bought one of each lol. but the 50/50's should be gorgeous!

Yeah.. now she's telling me that it's too cold and she will try again next Sunday OR I can sign a "no live guarantee" Um.. I'm not sure what to do. I can't imagine it will be in cold weather for more than a few hours with the overnight shipping, but isn't it up to her in the first place to take care of sending it with heat packs, etc? I really don't want to wait another week.. which could turn into ANOTHER week..

Yeah Esther19 that is what I am thinking.. She has this posted on the website though,

"Please note: No refunds are given on payments or deposits for ordered dragons, dragons held for International shipment before the dragon has shipped, payment plans in default or any other reason. Thank you. "

I'm not sure what that means, or if it's even legal.

i got the same email, so don't worry, and personally id rather wait than risk it. yes they do send them with heat packs and whatnot but those are only good for a few hours realistically. i don't know where you live but i live up north so it is cold enough to where i would rather wait a week and have them here safe and sound... she also told me no refunds as well so i don't think your going to be able to go that route. not quite sure about the legality of that but if you try it let me know!

I think it means she won't give anyone their money back for any reason. I have no idea if it's legal.

from what I've read is that your going to have a hell of a time getting your money back. its probably just best to wait for your dragon...
