finger/claw swollen??

so my beardie is a little over a year old now and her claw looks weird and her finger is swollen. like noticeably. does anyone have any idea what may have caused it or what we could do? if needed we will take her to the vet but would like some input first.

she stays in her cage normally and comes out and wanders around maybe twice a week. we just noticed a few minutes ago. she doesnt seem to be in any pain or behaving any different than normal. any advice would be greatly appreciated. thank you!

it is a possibility, she has one in her tank next to her basking area.

If she has a mesh style hammock , it needs to be gone, she's snagged her nail in the mesh and broke the nail trying pull herself free , and it and the toe is now infected.

Keep a close eye on the swelling , I suggest soaking it in 1/4 strength betadiene daily for 15 minutes.

There is a chance she may have broken the toe too in the process, so I suggest you have a vet examine the injured nail and toe , perhaps take xrays. Antibiotics may be needed to prevent the inflammation / infection spreading.
