So, the dubia person was running behind... And these guys weren't happy... So she threw in some very small meal worms. And I know they have very hard exoskeletons so not to feed those to them all the time. But boy... These guys put the dubia away... Each one put away at least 8-9 little dubia a piece... And then Groot snapped up a small mealworm.. Now they both seem to be both all amped up and happy again... <3

Sounds like they're off to a good start ! It's always fun to watch them take off after the bugs. :) DO be careful even of the mini mealworms though. Even they can cause impaction if too many are eaten, stick with the dubias for the tiny babies.

Only Groot had a mini mealie. And that's the only mealie eaten yesterday. Both Sheldon AND Groot ate about.... I'm going to lowball it and say 30 dubia total yesterday... And one mealie... And that was two meals... PIGLETS!!! LOL!!! Idk if "moonlight" bulbs are bad for them or if they even need a source of warmth at night... But I put one on because I have a fan pointed toward my bed, and the AC makes it chilly in our room... Its a 40w exoterra moonlight... Idk... I also lined their tank with pillow cases to help them stay snuggly (very thin cotton ones)... And later today I am getting a new bulb and better lighting and whatnot...

O.K., sounds like they have good appetites and one little [ tiny ] mealie won't hurt but a larger single mealie can. As for lights, the tubes are far more effective in providing UVB thru the tank. The compacts have been linked with serious eye problems, so be very careful to watch for that. Your best move is to get the Reptisun 10.0 tube. I see that you live in sunny Phoenix....if you could take the babies out once a day for about 45 minutes in the a.m before it gets above 85 then they would get plenty of good UVB. If you had a screen cage that would work, or a kiddie pool in the shade or at least mottled shade [ the pool can get VERY hot if in direct sun ] with a basking log in the middle, that's how my babies enjoyed being outside. Being so hot where you are they would need to keep a close eye on them.

I just looked again at what you're buying ...is that an led hood ? You don't need that at all....look to the right side of the page here and check out the proper lighting under care + husbandry articles. I'd just hate to see you buy things you don't need ! And no heat at night unless it goes below 67 [ for a baby ] at night. If you ever need heat at night, a CHE [ ceramic heat emitter ] gives heat but no light....the babies can be bothered if there are lights on at night.

Can you post a pic of their set up ?

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
