Few questions about my new beardie

Ive had him/her for about a week and i have two questions, one is how many times a day should i offer him crickets, ive been offering them once a day and he will eat about 10-15 small at a time. And second he is in a 10 gal tank with a 50 watt spot and a 26 watt uvb during the day, and a 50 watt black night light and the tank stays right around 80 to 85 degrees in the hot side, what i need to know is how to safely bring his temp up durin the day without "cooking" him

You should offer as many crickets he can eat in 10 mins, twice a day, make sure the crickets are gutloaded to maximize the nutrition your giving to your Bearded Dragon. Next, how old is your bearded dragon 10 gallon seems quite small even for a baby bearded dragon, also do you have a thermostat, with a thermostat you can turn dial depending on which thermostat you have to make the vivarium hotter/colder.

Where did you get your Bearded Dragon from, almost all shops provide or recommend thermosats whilst purchasing a vivarium, the thermostat is need for tempertaure. I live in the United Kingdom, however if you live in America im sure if you type into amazon/ebay "Vivarium Thermostat" you'll be able to find a cheap, subtable thermostat. Also for the UVB bulb that need to stay on for only 12 hours, if you keep it on constantly he wont be able to sleep, i recommend getting a timer from any hardware store such as Homebase or Home Depot so you dont have to worry about remembering to turn of the light yourself
