Female going nuts!!!

We have a female just over a year old. I turned around and she was going insane wanting out of her habitat. I took her out and she would not calm down. I mean she was litterally frantic. All she wanted to do was hide under the pillows on our bed. I left her alone for a minute and checked on her. She was still beathing hard and trying to avoid contact. I have never seen her like this.
Her tank is next to our males tank and he tries to get at her even though he can't. He'll bob his head at her while stomping his foot, turn black under the chin etc...etc...
Could he have freaked her out somehow? Cause she reeeeally wanted out of her tank. It's like something seriously spooked her. Any thoughts or opinions would help. Thanks.

Can she see the males when she is in her cage? If so, you could try putting construction paper on the sides of the enclosures so they can't see each other.

Does the female have a secure place to hide in her viv?

Y'know, I was wondering that. Yes she can see the male when she in her tank. And he does harrass her through the glass. We have a piece of cardboard that slides in between the two tank to cut their view from one another but haven't used it much. He was "harassing" her through the glass at the time of her tantrum. I know that breaders keep dragons so they can't see one another. Is that better to do? I figured the sight of another was better than isolation. Would it be better to keep the visual barrier up?

During the breeding season, it's best to keep them isolated. I think you should use the barrier, at least during breeding season. I bet the female would calm down a lot.

Yeah, if they can see each other it's pretty likely that it will stress both of them during breeding season.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
