Felix waves for the first time

I brought my boyfriends BD to my room and Felix was watching her and she started moving around and he looked scared :shock: . Then he picked his arm up and moved it around. So my boyfriend and his brother and his girlfriend all sat there like that was the funniest thing ever. :lol: I do have to say it was. So we recorded it. (I'll put it up later) Does anyone elses wave aswell if so I want to hear the story.

Sorry I don't have a story for you. The arm waving you're observing by your dragon is actually a sign of submission in bd lingo.

Sakura did the same thing when we brought her home because she could see her reflection in the tank...so we put up paper towels so she couldn't see her reflection anymore. I know it looks cute/funny, but in beardie lingo it's not. It's a sign of submission, and feeling like they have to submit to another beardie causes them undue stress and that's not good for Felix.

Hmm... I thought that it just meant that he was showing that it was okay that she was in there. I read in the book that it meant that they were submissive but I didn't think it would cause him stress. Thanks for letting me know.

my beardie waved for the first time last week, i didnt get to see it. im usually the one who handles the BD because we just got him and my boyfriends been sick, and so we dont want the BD to get sick so ive been the one he sees the most, well my boyfriend went really close to the viv watching him and he says " oh he waved at me!" i was like huh? was it a slow wave? he said yes, i was like hmmm, he must be saying your the boss lol. so i guess maybe the BD knew my boyfriend was a male? and maybe was submitting? i dont know.

Foster used to wave as a baby, but does not do it anymore.
Waffle still does occasionally.

My bd has done this a few times, its the funniest thing ever because he does it sometimes when he is in stealth mode lol, when he is about to eat a crik or is close to one, he will move his arms real slow like that lol, i love when he does it, then pounch lol, he jumps on a crik, or either misses lol 1 of the 2

Oh, no doubt..it's funny to watch. Sakura would alternate..it looks like a slow ..Hiiii..LOL..but considering she was just a baby..we just got her..I didn't think she needed the stress of feeling like she had to submit to herself,basically, because it was her reflection she was submitting to, on top of getting used to us and her new home and whatnot..
I love watching her stalk her crix in "stealth" mode..that's funny to watch, too.

Ya i love watchin my bd in stealth mode lol, sometimes he will wave both of his arms lol, he has only done it like 2 or 3 times that ive seen its soo funny when it happens, cuz then bam he eats a crik lol

I love it when he finally catches the crik and he smacks his mouth like it was the best thing ever then goes back to stealth mode.

Louie waves, but only when my wife is hearing her large Eeyore slippers. Submitting to a big headed Eeyore? We haven't be able to figure that out yet. Louie doesn't wave at any other time.
