feeding wax worms to my babies

I wanted to feed them supers but i read on here that i can't till they are 14-16inc long, so now i thinking of feeding them wax worms, esme is 7 in long i think, and Cyrus is 7 inc long so is it safe to feed it to them i want to order 1/2 or 1/3 size and can i use them as a staple

It's safe provided they are no larger than the space between their eyes. Waxworms are very soft bodied so the impaction risk is lower than with other feeders.

However, they are in no way suitable as a staple, you shouldn't be feeding more than a few a week, they are very very high in fat.

If you want a worm that you can use as a staple, try silkworms or phoenix worms.

I know about phoenix worms, i wanted something to put a little weight on them and i know i can't use as a staple i use roaches
