Feeding Time Options?

So I've been feeding my baby beardie in his tank... I've tried "bin feeding" him, but all he does is freak out and try to crawl out of the bin- even when there are bugs in there! He eats first thing in the morning (usually 10-15 crickets), but sometimes he doesn't get to them all before I leave. I've been leaving salad in there for the crickets to eat (in case he misses one or two), and so they don't stress him out. I find that they're usually gone (or one has died) by the time I get home around 3... (he eats at 5:30)

Is this bad? What do you guys do as far as feeding? I'm open to suggestions and trying new things, but the bin feeding did not work for him. I have no problem going with my method I'm using now, but wasn't sure if that was a bad idea.

Thanks in advance

Hi Ashley....feeding in his tank is fine, and I've raised all my babies that way. Some beardies just don't like being set in a separate feeding bin and try to get out like your guy did. So if a few are leftover it's no big deal as long as it's not a bunch of them crawling around him + stressing him. Just try to get any extras out before lights go out. You can also try other insects like phoenix or repti worms and dubia roaches.....all of which can be put in a shallow bowl in the tank for easy pickin's. :)

Awesome. Was just reaching out in case there was another easy way to do it. By the time it's lights out, he's usually found and eaten the leftover ones (or I've pulled them out because they're dead). Especially on days where he doesn't feel like eating first thing in the morning...

Going to try phoenix worms (I want to put them in salads). Is there a preferable website most go to? He would need small ones..

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
