Ok, so my boss wants me to switch Norbert over to pellets only with an occasional cricket as a treat. According to her she had a friend who had a dragon and only fed it pellets and says that pellets give them all the nutrition they need. I need your help.

1. is this true? Can they live well off pellets alone?
2. if it's not true, I need a reputable source saying so, something that can be backed up, not just a yahoo answer to a question or a wiki. We are librarians so research is kinda our thing. So far I'm not finding that. I've found plenty of websites like this one that say no but not really anything concrete, like say a journal article or something. Does that make sense?

First how old is your beardie? If its a baby or juvenile. Then no they need lots of protein to grow. It might be OK once in a while, for adult but even then they still need live feeders just not as much. Also they still need greens and calcium and vitamins. I guess I would ask my self do they eat pellets in the out back?

I feed my two juveniles (both about 4-5 months old) pellets that I soak for a minute in water, draining before serving, of course and just feed them Dubia like normal. They also fancy Dragon Bites with the pellets in the same bowl, they tend to like crunchy stuff.

You could just leave the pellets in a bowl after some soaking and draining and let them eat it throughout the day, mine love it.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
