Feeding method incorrect?

Hey everyone!

My question is simply how to correctly feed my 4 month old buddy Drogon. I'm not sure if he's eating enough but I think its partially my fault. I put the crickets in his cage and he usually doesnt touch them right away. Once I sit down on my couch (he's in the living room) thats when he starts eating but maybe one or two.
The rest of the crickets he leaves alone and the next day theres still maybe 8-10 out of 15 crickets in there.
Should I have specific feeding times where I put him in a small tank or big bowl and feed him there? Or am I suppose to be just putting the crickets directly in his cage?

He also barely barely touches his veggies.

The only food he seems to love is worms, but I was told they shouldn't be a main source of food so I give it to him once a week. Is this true?

Sorry for making this so long, but really wanted to be thorough so I can take care of this guy the right way!

Hi! I'm not sure if there is a right or wrong way to feed your beardie. I can explain how my system works. I feed my beardie every morning after his basks for an hour. I take about 10-20 crickets at a time and put them in a bowl in his cage. I let loose about two at a time so he can chase them. Personally, my bearded dragon gets overwhelmed if I let loose all of the crickets at once. He likes to hunt them down separately.
You should feed your bearded dragon twice a day and as much as he/she will eat in a period of 15 minutes.
When they are young its normal for them to not be crazy about veggies, my beardie about the same age as yours and he just started actively eating his greens. Try dandelion greens and collard greens (Pascal LOVES them).
About worms....what kind of worms are you feeding? Phoenix worms can be used as a staple. Do not feed him meal worms; they do not have the nutritional value needed and too much chitin. How long is your beardie? When he reaches 16' inches he can eat super worms (another worm staple).
I would really recommend Phoenix worms. They are easy (no dusting) and bearded dragons LOVE them.

Oh man yeah Im feeding him mealworms! Good to know, I'll stop that immediately!

As for the way you feed your beardie, I dont know if it'll work for mine because he never eats immediately after I give him the crickets, but Im going to give that a shot and see what happens. Hopefully it works! He's maybe 10-12 inches right now? Hasn't grown much since I got him (maybe because of his eating habits).

I'm going to try your technique today and see if it works. Thanks !

Let me know how it works. You could try other feeding options like dubia roaches and Phoenix worms if it doesn't work.

Also check your temps. Sometimes beardies won't eat if they aren't warm enough. Is he pooping okay? Hard urates? Another reason for that could be parasites or worms and might need to get a fecal test done at the vet!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
