Hello all i'm new to this forum and to caring for bearded dragons and I would like to ask a few questions about the feeding behaviour of your beardies so I can understand how close it resembles my Modo's. I'm having suspicions something isn't quite right.

What have you feed your beardies over the last week?
How much of each item do you offer? and how many times a day?
Do you hand feed, place in dish's or scatter in there viv's?
how old and what size is your beardie?
And finally. How does your beardie behave, does it prefer feeders to greens, nibble or devour there greens etc.

I know i'm asking alot for a first post however I would really appreciate any replies as most places on the internet are offering different rights and wrongs and i'm a little confused.

The last week i recently switched from crickets to repti worms, i offer him about 70 a day once a day.
I used to hand feed 1 at a time crickets to him but with the reptiworms i just put in a dish and he munches down.
Caesar is about 10months and 15.5inches.
Hes a savage when it comes to live feeders, with greens he doesnt really savage them like with live but he will eat a large helping each time he goes to his dish. i Fill it twice a day.

I offer 5 at a time, but he normally eats 30 each feeding, which is 3 x daily.
Food is in a dish in his cage.

a suggestion to get beardie to eat greens, use feeder tongs and feed them thier live feeders with them for a few weeks. than throw some veggies on there and wiggle it around. show him your pulling the veggies out of the bowl and lead him over to it, he will figure it out :) i could put a rock on the end of his tongs and hed eat it :p . not saying i would.

Helios was bought from a breeder is 13 weeks old and was eating greens and crickets when he came to us. I have been feeding those plus worms. He does not like small size food so phoenix worms were out. He does like large crickets, med silks, reg butterworms. He also hes collards, mustard, turnip and danylion greens. The dany and clover I get from my own yard as we do not spray here and live in the country.

Now for amounts. I will buy a box of med to large crickets and he eats from 5 to 15. His worms he eats about 5 to 7. I feed 3 times a day. tipacal day for us is light on 7:30am. He gets fed first meal around 10:30am which is usually worms but sometimes greens. Afternoons are 3:00pm he gets crickets, if not in the box what I can catch anywhere from 5 to 8. Then his last feeding he gets more worms usually silks.

Fresh salad goes in their vivs shortly after the lights come on at 8am. Changes constantly, but usually collards, turnip greens, kale, mustard greens, some sort of vegetable (this week it is beets & beet greens, but can be squash, zuccini, carrots, sweet potato) and sometimes they get a little bit of fruit mixed in (I had some extra watermelon this week and they both love it). Around 9:30 or 10:00 they get crickets which they eat in a large rubbermaid tub. We dump in too many and let them eat what they want. This morning Fluffy had 10 and Figment had 12. When I get home from work they get about 6 superworms added into their salads.

To be honest, they have really laid off the crickets lately. A month ago they were both eating about 24 a day.

Figment is male, 5 1/2 months old, almost 17" long. Fluffy is female, 6 1/2 months old, and 16" long.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
